Lakshmipur

Lakshmipur or Laxmipur District with an area of 1455.96 km², is a district of Bangladesh.Lakshmipur is a small district situated on the south east part of Bangladesh. It is under Chittagong Division.It is bordered by Chandpur District to the north, Bhola and Noakhali districts to the south, Noakhali District to the east, and Barisal and Bhola districts to the west.The district of Lakshmipur consists of 4 municipalities, 58 union parishads, 514 villages, 3539 mosques, 45 temples, and 1 church.

Rivers: Meghna, Dakatia, Katkhali, Rahamatkhali, Vulua, Jarirdona etc. Total river area of the district is 118 Sq Km which is about 23% of the total area of the district.

Meghna River

Raipur Large Mosque

The mosque has three attractive domes in the ducal palace of modern architecture.It was introduced on Bengali 1217; Arabic 1231 AH. It's built by Late Peer Kamel Shah Fazlullah alias Old Hazrat(R).It is located at Raipur, Lakshmipur.

Jinn Mosque

Jinn Mosque is an ancient mosque located at Raipur , Laxmipur of Bangladesh Which is estimated to be in the late 18th century. Although the mosque is known as 'Maulvi Abdullah Sahib's mosque' in the area, it is called 'Mosque-i-Jame Abdullah' in the inscription adjacent to the stairs in front of it.

Tita Khan Jami Mosque

Tita Khan Mosque is an ancient mosque situated in Laksmipur , Bangladesh.The mosque is very old About three hundred years ago, Hazim Azim Shah (ra) discovered the mosque in the garden.The mosque has gained fame for artistic craftsmanship and visibility. The Hindu mosque helped everyone to build this mosque.

Khoa-Sagor Lake

Khowa Sea Dighi adjacent to the Dalal Bazar around 25 acres of area. Fog is called 'Khowa' in the local language. Dighi's large length-width caused one side to feel foggy on the other end, the name of this tank Khowa Sagar Dighi. Approximately 1755, the landlord, Braj Bolv Rai, dug the dighi to protect the drinking water of the people. There are many sub-messages about this dighi.

Alexander Meghna Beach

Battles were built in the meghna river under the direction of the Bangladesh army to protect them from huge river erosion. The meghna has now turned into a tourist center in Lakshmipur.Another feature of this beach is that there are fish ghat on the side, where you will find fresh fish in the river.

‌Raipur Fisheries Breeding and Training Center

Raipur Fisheries Breeding and Training Center is located at Raipur upazila , Laxmipur District , Bangladesh . It was one of the major fishery breeding and training centers of Bangladesh.It was the largest fish breeding center in Asia.There are 8 fishery farms, 14 dairies and 72 poultry farms in Raipur upazila.According to 2004 data, 504 kg of pona is produced annually in this Government Fisheries Breeding Center, among which are Rui, Katla, Mrigel, Kalabus, Magura and Shingi.

Lakshmipur's Lakshmi is known as "Superi".Exports are being exported to meet demand and production. The coastal region is well known as the capital city of Laxmipur district.There are 6,355 hectares of land in the district. There are betel-producing gardens in this district. In this year, the amount of betel nut worth Tk 325 crore was produced.
